Refunds

When you get your money back.

The $49 consultation, deposits, care plans and what happens if we are the ones who fall short. Written so you can check it before you pay, not after. Last updated 11 September 2026.

The short version

The $49 consultation comes off your build price if you go ahead. It is not refunded if you do not.

A deposit is fully refundable until we start building, and not refundable after that.

A care plan can be cancelled any time and runs to the end of the month you paid for.

If we cannot deliver what we agreed, you get your money back for work not done.

The $49 consultation

The fee buys thirty minutes of a developer's time and a written scope and price delivered within two days. That is the product, and you keep the scope whether or not you hire us — including if you take it to another studio to price against.

Because the work is done by the end of the call, the $49 is not refundable once the call has happened. It is instead credited in full against your build if you go ahead. Cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before the call and we will move it or refund it in full, no reason needed. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not show up, the fee stands — though if something genuinely went wrong, email us and we will be reasonable about it.

If you only have a question, do not book. Use the contact form — questions are answered free by email.

Deposits on a build

A build starts with 50% on signing. Before we begin work, that deposit is fully refundable — change your mind the same week and you get all of it back.

Once building has started, the deposit is not refundable. We hold the dates for you, turn other work away, and start spending the hours immediately; a fourteen-day build only works because the schedule is committed. If you stop a project mid-build, you owe for the work completed to that point and nothing beyond it, and we hand over what exists.

The final 50%

The balance falls due on agreed completion and the work is released on payment. If you believe what was delivered does not match the signed scope, say so before paying and we will fix it — that is what the revision stage is for. We would rather correct the work than argue about a refund afterwards.

If we are the problem

If we cannot deliver what we agreed — we take on something beyond us, we lose capacity, or we simply miss badly — we will tell you as early as we know, and refund everything you have paid for work not done. We will not hold a deposit hostage for a project we failed to deliver.

Care plans and hourly work

Care plans bill monthly in advance. Cancel whenever you like and the plan runs to the end of the month you have already paid for; we do not pro-rate part-months and we do not charge a cancellation fee. Ten-hour blocks are refundable pro-rata on the hours you have not used.

Things we cannot refund

Money you pay third-party vendors is not ours to refund. Hosting, databases, domains, the Apple Developer Program, the Google Play registration and similar all sit on your own accounts and your own card — that is deliberate, so you keep control, but it means their refund rules apply, not ours. App store review outcomes are Apple's and Google's decisions and are not grounds for a refund of our build fee, though we will keep working a resubmission with you.

How to ask

Email contact@elevatedsoftwarelabs.com and say what you paid and what you want back. A person reads it the same business day. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within five business days and always within ten.

If you disagree with our answer, tell us before raising a chargeback. A dispute freezes the work and helps neither of us, and in every case so far a short email has settled it faster.
